Print. Read. Resist - A Special Banned Books BYOS on First Friday

Ahead of Banned Books Week, Circus and Dilly Dally Books are teaming up for a First Friday celebration of books, creativity, and the freedom to read.

Dilly Dally Books will pop up at Circus with a selection of books and art, including titles and authors that have faced censorship and challenges across the country. Circus will host a special Bring Your Own Shirt (BYOS) screen-printing event featuring an original banned-books-inspired design created collaborating artist Portia Apple.

Guests can bring a shirt, tote, or other printable item, pull a print, browse books, connect with the community, and help spark conversation around why access to stories and ideas matters.

The event serves as a local kickoff to Banned Books Week, using printmaking, books, and community participation to celebrate intellectual freedom and the right to read.
