Poster Contest #2-Trans Rights

Circus has arrived in Albany and we are stoked to announce the start of our Print Community Outreach Program. Each month-ish we will announce a new topic and a rotating panel of community guest judges will join Bryan, who heads up Circus in Albany, and Jeff, from Clown Skateboards, to pick a winning design. The final chosen design will be printed in 2 different formats:

● Wheatpaste version (so you can spread your message and work on the streets).

● A fine art print will be sold through Circus online and in-store at Albany, NY

It will also be included in our annual poster book along with the other finalists at the end of the year. Posters will be sold with proceeds split between the artist and the shop.

For submissions that aren’t chosen, the artist will be given the opportunity to come in and do some posters, which they can do whatever they’d like with.

For this contest, we want to brief you on something we hold tight to the core of Circus:

Trans Rights

Designs should:

● Make an impact and empower the viewer

● Able to be printed in no more than 2 colours (plus paper color)

● Fit paper size 8x11in

● PDF no bigger than 5MB

Our judge for #2 is Mia Roberts, a UK artist and Skateboarder who just graced the front cover of @theskateboarderscompanion magazine. We have worked with Mia before, and she is both an incredible artist and a truly inspiring individual. Welcome to the judges panel Mia

Submissions should be sent to bryan@clownskateboards.com with subject line Trans Rights by June 30th.. The chosen concept will be announced shortly thereafter, and the third brief will also be issued that day.

This should go without saying but, the design has got to be ORIGINAL, and all artwork must belong to YOU.

Good luck!
